
[dropcap]P[/dropcap]atrice came into my life by way of the women’s business networking organization that I joined in 2013, ProWIN. She was already a leader in the organization, serving as VP or Events. Although Patrice appears soft-spoken and quiet, she is a force to be reckoned with.
Patrice Barton Smith is a Senior Consultant – Risk Technology in the Global Wealth and Investment Management Technology & Operations division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In this role, Patrice serves as the Enterprise Vendor Manager for a portfolio of technology vendors where she is responsible for the management and mitigation of vendor risk of the portfolio across the Enterprise. Patrice also serves as a subject matter expert in the metrics and reporting of vendor risk management, providing leadership and guidance to business partners in the utilization of third party vendors who provide services to Global Wealth and Investment Management.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Patrice was a Division Counsel in the Management Liability division of American International Group and a Legal Specialist at Prudential Financial. A native of New Jersey, Patrice has resided in Atlanta, Georgia since 2003.
Patrice received a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University and holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. She is admitted to the bar in the States of New York and New Jersey. Patrice received a Graduate Certificate in Personal Financial Planning from Georgia State University and has successfully passed the Certified Financial Planner exam.
Patrice is a spring 2006 graduate of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta’s Volunteer Involvement Program. Patrice is a former Board Member of 7 Stages Theatre Company where she served as the Community Development & Fundraising Committee Chairperson. She has also volunteered with a number of non-profit organizations in metro Atlanta including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, Dress for Success Atlanta and the Atlanta Cares Mentoring Movement.
Patrice is an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she currently serves as Co-Chair of the Centennial Committee, the steering committee responsible for the planning of series of events commemorating the church’s centennial anniversary in November 2012. She is also a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Inc., Ladies Auxiliary, a national Catholic fraternal organization, where she is in her third term as Vice Grand Lady of Court 300. Patrice and her husband, Jhamal, reside in southwest Atlanta and enjoy sports, movies, and music.
