Impressive, beautiful, kind, caring, and driven; these are the words I use to describe Ires Alliston. I meet a lot of people on my social media journey, Ires is one of the people whom I’ve had the pleasure to connect with. She stands out for me because she approached me about connecting, which I love, and during our chat we discovered that we have similar mindsets about what we do and who we serve. Even though we offer similar services and serve similar audiences, we each know and believe that there is room for everyone to succeed and that no one does it like we each do in our own business, so there really is no competition and we can work together. I love that! We joined each other’s groups and we have continued to learn more about each other, interact with, and help each other’s audiences to solve problems and soar. I totally love those types of connections.
Any of those terms would accurately describe entrepreneur Ires Alliston, Founder, and CEO of The Alliston Group. She is experienced in continually overcoming challenges to make her dreams a reality. And she has made it her mission to share the message that anyone who is passionate enough about their vision can make it happen.
Ires grew up with an entrepreneur mother. As Ires would explain it, she admired her mother growing up as she was great in building businesses and a master negotiator. Her father was opposite – he was a humbled man, a caring and giving man. He worked 50-60 hours to provide for his family. Growing up Ires was taught to stay in school, work hard and get her degrees – which she did! However, she had little interests in business, let alone running a company and becoming an entrepreneur. Over the years, she worked with various companies, got married, raised children and worked in between family life and caring for her children.
Not until years after her mother’s passing that she began to realize that there was something missing – something else that she needed to do also. At that time, she didn’t really know what it was at that time, but this was “A-HA” moment. Have you ever gotten that A-HA moment in your life? That moment where you knew something is about to change and needs to change? Well her moment was to serve others with her gift and in a higher level – in a much bigger platform.
You see, she’s been fascinated with social media and online marketing for years. She became inquisitive in learning more about what’s working and not working when it comes to marketing a company’s product online.
So in 2011, she launched her first online marketing agency servicing her clients in Georgia and California. She was a solopreneur – building and growing her business by herself at that time. She designed websites, managed social media profiles for her clients and associates as well as built mobile apps. Along the way, she had to step down due to personal circumstances. But in 2015, she re-branded her previous company which is now known as the Alliston Group offering more online marketing services and helping small business owners establish and create even more successes online with their brand.
These days, she is focus on growing her company and attending various events, locally and nationally. She is also an author of three books, “Simple Branding Steps for Small Business: It Matters!” and “Insider Tips” Book Series.
She also speaks at events with topics close to her niche (branding and online marketing) to women entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants, small business owners and entrepreneurs.
On her spare time, you’ll find her volunteering her time and being involved with non-profit and for-profit organizations. To name a few, she supports the Evan Oglesby Foundations, Classy Living Society in Atlanta, L.E.A.D. and Unite4Good organizations. To learn more about these organizations, click here for details.
